PURPOSE: To eliminate the needs for boring holes in the wall and for foundation work for installing an air pump in a bathroom provided with a bubble- generating bathtub by providing a bubble-generating air pump in the ceiling of the bathroom.

CONSTITUTION: One end portion of an air pipe 3 is connected to a bubble- generating nozzle 2 provided on the bottom wall 11 of a bathtub 1 and the other end portion of the air pipe 3 is connected to the air inlet 51 of an air pump 5 installed in the ceiling above the steel ceiling board 4 of the bathroom. One end of a suction pipe 6 is connected to the intake port 52 of the air pump 5 and the other end of the suction pipe 52 is open to the underside of a remote- control panel 71 mounted on the bathroom wall 7. A wooden base is provided on the steel ceiling board 4 beneath the air pump 5, a rubber rod 42 is provided on the wooden base, and the air pump 5 is provided on the rubber rod 42 to prevent vibration of the air pump 5 from being transmitted to the ceiling board. The air pump 5 is controlled using the remote-control panel 71 mounted on the bathroom wall 7.
