To lessen the labor for bathing service at home etc., by molding a bathtub for bathing of old persons, etc., by carrying the bathtub into respective homes of carbon, thereby making the bathtub extremely lighter in weight than the conventional bathtubs, enhancing their strength and facilitating the carrying of the bathtub into the respective homes.
The process for production of the bathtub for nursing consists in spraying polyester, etc., by using a spray gun 12 to the surface of a master model 10, thereby forming a gel coat layer 11 of about 0.5 mm thickness on the surface of the master model 10. After the gel coat layer 11 is dried, carbon cloth 13a previously impregnated with a resin is affixed onto the gel coat layer 11. This carbon cloth 13a is fixed onto the gel coat layer 11 by the impregnation resin. After drying of the carbon cloth 13a, the carbon cloth 13b is affixed to the surface thereof to form a second layer. The carbon cloth 13bc impregnated with the resin is affixed to its surface after drying to form the third layer, by which the carbon layers of about 2 mm thickness are formed.
