Abstract:
To secure sufficient sealability, improve space efficiency for mounting a battery, inhibit cracks during molding, and achieve improvement of joint strength of a tray and a frame in a battery case for an electric vehicle and a manufacturing method of the battery case.SOLUTION: A battery case 100 for an electric vehicle includes: a frame 110 which has a polygonal frame shape in a plan view and in which a through hole TH is defined at the inner side and a round shape is provided at the inner side of a corner part of the polygonal frame shape; and a bathtub shaped tray 120 having a bottom wall 122a located in the through hole TH, a peripheral wall 122b provided around the bottom wall 122a and defining an opening 122d at the opposite side of the bottom wall 122a, and a flange 121 provided at a tip of the peripheral wall 122b, the bathtub shaped tray 120 welded to the frame 110 to be integrated therewith.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
