Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charger capable of charging an apparatus to be charged even when the apparatus is placed at any position of a charging stand and capable of stably performing a wireless communication with the apparatus to be charged.SOLUTION: A charging stand 101 on which a cellular phone 150 is placed includes plural rows of coils disposed along an X-axis and a Y-axis. A position detection section 201 uses the plural rows of coils for detecting the position of a power receiving coil 251 of the cellular phone 150. An NFC control section 202 uses the plural rows of coils for detecting the position of an NFC antenna coil 254 of the cellular phone 150 and to perform an NFC communication with the cellular phone 150. The switching section 203 switches the plural rows of coils to use for detecting the position of the power receiving coil 251 or for performing NFC communication.
