Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a support bolt type sleeper suitable for a ballastless iron girder bridge by mounting two expandable support bolts arranged in the radial direction of a main body at a position separated equally to the central spacing of main girders of an iron girder bridge in the longitudinal direction of the main body.
CONSTITUTION: Two support bolts 4 are mounted to both ends of a main body 2 respectively. A distance A between mounting positions of the bolts 4 on both sides is arranged to be equal to a space B between the centers of main girders 5 on both sides. The mounting positions of the bolts 4 for sleepers 1 are arranged to conform to the central position of main girders 5 so that the sleepers may be installed on the main girders 5. Then, the bolts 4 are screwed with nuts 7 buried in the main body 2 so that they may be mounted expandably. The lower end is projected below the main body 2 so that it may be loaded on a cover plate 9. The sleepers 1 are installed without being hindered by the head of a rivet 10, on the main girders 5, and fixed with the main girders 5 by means of hook bolts 12.
