Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine gas jet of a battery during stoppage of a battery system for controlling charge and discharge of a battery module.SOLUTION: A battery state monitoring device for monitoring the battery state of a battery module 10 having multiple batteries 12 includes battery thermistors 51-57 for detecting the temperatures at multiple locations of the battery module 10, respectively, an environmental temperature thermistor 58 for detecting the temperature of the circumstance where the battery module 10 is disposed, and a determination unit 59 which is activated periodically during stoppage of a battery system for controlling charge and discharge of the battery module 10, acquires detection temperatures of the battery thermistors 51-57 and the environmental thermistor 58, respectively, calculates the temperature difference of these detection temperatures, respectively, and determines that gas is jetted from the batteries 12, when at least one of these temperature differences is larger than a preset specified value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
