Title:
BATTERY CONTROLLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09130991
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a low charged state which can not start an engine, by installing a controller which connects the same kind poles of two batteries, controls charge and discharge of at least one out of both batteries, and is charged from an alternator. SOLUTION: A switch R1 connects the part between a large anode terminal 8 and a small anode terminal 10 of an AUX battery (auxiliary battery) and a CRA battery (cracking battery). Cathode terminals of both batteries are connected with an earth cable 14. An alternator firstly charges the AUX battery (small electrode terminal 10), and charges also the CRA battery when the switch R1 is closed. The AUX battery opens the switch R1, closes the switch R2, and supplies auxiliary power to a car. As a result, a low charged state (SOC) can be avoided by using the controller.
