To provide a battery mounting structure for an automobile securing a battery capacity, enhancing yaw characteristic (reduction of yaw inertia moment), enhancing head-on collision safety and improving baggage chamber condition by arranging a battery (including a fuel cell and a capacitor) at a front side of an instrument panel over a driver's seat side and a front passenger seat side along an indoor side of a dash panel.
In the battery mounting structure for the automobile in which the battery 30 for driving the vehicle is arranged at a front part in the vehicle, the battery 30 is arranged at a front side of the instrument panel 33 over the driver's seat side and the front passenger seat side along the indoor side of the dash panel 3.
