To provide an inexpensive battery in which the outermost first electrode is bent in a bending part apart from a current collecting member rather than its joint end part, and a proximate part from the bending part to a joining end part is positioned on the inside in the stacking direction compared with a distant part positioning apart from the current collecting member than the bending part, and a first electrode plate including the outermost first electrode plate is joined to a current collecting joining part without using a joining member such as solder; and to provide the manufacturing method of the battery.
In the battery 100, a negative electrode current collecting joining part 131 is joined with a negative electrode joining end part 172r of an inside negative electrode plate 172 with metal which is the melted negative electrode current collecting joining part 131 itself by forming a fillet 131b, and also with a negative electrode joining end part 171r of the outermost negative electrode plate 171 with metal which is the melted negative electrode current collecting joining part 131 itself by forming the fillet 131b.
