To provide a battery pack composed of a combination of a secondary battery pack and an accumulating element for the detection of a voltage which can easily and accurately obtain the charging/discharging state of the battery from the voltage of the accumulating element, and can prevent the deterioration of functions in the battery pack.
The battery pack 10 is composed by having a plurality of secondary batteries 12 and at least one accumulating element 14 for voltage detection which is different from the secondary battery 12 and serially connected. The accumulating element 14 is provided with a positive electrode including active carbon as a positive electrode material and a negative electrode containing a negative electrode substance which has the same composition as that of the secondary battery 12.
