Abstract:
To provide an on-vehicle battery system comprising a nickel hydrogen battery that continues to appropriately calculate an estimated value of a charge reserve amount even when a processor for calculating the estimated value of the charge reserve amount is replaced.SOLUTION: A battery system 2 comprises a battery pack 10 and a battery ECU 100. The battery ECU 100 executes first processing when the battery pack 10 has not been replaced after replacement with the battery ECU 100 and executes second processing when the battery pack 10 has been replaced after replacement of with battery ECU 100. The first processing includes processing of using predetermined relation between first estimated values of charge reserve amounts estimated from total travel distances and the total travel distances to calculate a first estimated value from a total travel distance. The second processing includes processing of calculating a second estimated value of a charge reserve amount from a temperature of the battery pack 10, a discharge electric amount, and an SOC (State of Charge) variation width.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
