Abstract:
To acquire the temperature of a central area, even when a temperature sensor is not provided in the central area of a module, in a battery system comprising a bipolar type nickel hydrogen battery.SOLUTION: A battery system 90 includes a current sensor 53, a thermistor 80, and an ECU 100. The current sensor 53 detects a current IB inputted/outputted into/from a battery unit 1. The thermistor 80 detects the temperature of the end area of a battery module 4. The ECU 100 repeatedly executes processing for estimating the temperature of the central area from the detection values of the current sensor 53 and the thermistor 80 by using an estimation model for estimating the temperature of the central area of the battery module 4. The estimation model includes a model for estimating the temperature of the central area from the temperature of the end area, the previous estimated value of the temperature of the central area, the resistance value of the end area, the resistance value of the central area, the current IB, and the heat capacity and radiation coefficient of the battery module 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
