To provide a battery with high safety by preventing rotation of output terminals of both positive and negative electrodes which are independent of a lid.
The battery includes an electrode group 2 which is housed in an outer package can 1 and includes the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the positive and negative electrode leads 7, 8 which are respectively electrically connected to the positive and negative electrodes and have first and second through-holes, a lid 10 which closes an opening of the outer package can and has first and second though holes, an insulator 21 which is arranged on the inner side of the lid, and positive and negative electrode output terminals 12, 14 which are respectively installed on the outer side of the lid through an insulating gasket. The output terminal has a head and an axle part housed in the gasket. The positive and negative electrode leads are respectively inserted into first and second recesses 24, 25 of the insulator, and each recess has first and second through-holes 22, 23. The axle part of the positive electrode output terminal is fixed to the first through-hole of the lid, insulator, and positive electrode lead, and the axle part of the negative electrode output terminal is fixed to the second through-hole of the lid, insulator, and negative electrode lead.
