Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which has an inner terminal and an outer terminal joined tightly.SOLUTION: A battery proposed herein comprises: a pedestal part 34 connected to an electrode body; an inner terminal 30 having a projection part 33 projecting out of a case from the pedestal part 34; and an outer terminal arranged outside the case and connected to the projection part 33 of the inner terminal 30. The outer terminal has a through hole into which the projection part of the inner terminal 30 can be inserted, and the projection part 33 of the inner terminal 30 is caulked with its tip inserted into the through hole. Before the tip of the projection part is caulked, the tip of the projection part 33 is formed in a hollow cylindrical shape. In an outer peripheral surface 33a of the projection part 33, a cut 35 is formed in a region which extends to 3/4 of a height H of the projection part 33 from the pedestal part 34. The depth of the cut 35 is 1/2 or less as large as a thickness of a cylinder wall 38 at the tip of the projection part 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
