PURPOSE: To obtain a battery in which even when large heat is generated at charge and discharge, the heat is immediately emitted from cells outside the battery.

CONSTITUTION: In a battery 12 in which negative electrode plate 15, a positive electrode plate 16 and electrolyte 17 are disposed, heat pipes 18a-18e as heat conductor are disposed, adjoining to the cells 14a-14d, being formed integrally by means of resin 13. The heat pipes 18a-18e protrude in one end out of the battery 12 and are fitted to radiator plates 19a-19d. In the battery 10, reaction heat occurring in the cells 14a-14d is thus released efficiently to the outside through the heat pipes 18a-18d.
