Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively absorb a radial force from a bearing base of a vertical shaft rotary electric machine and an excessive stress due to thermal expansion of the bearing base. CONSTITUTION:A mounting plate 24 is secured to a bearing base 22, and is fixedly clamped to a base plate 28 installed on a foundation 26 with clamping bolts 30. A stress supporting plate 32 is disposed in space from the plate 24 on the same plate 28, and is fixed to the plate 28 with bins 33. A leaf spring member 38 having one or two projections 40 is interposed longitudinally between the plates 24 and 32, and is contacted with the plates 24 and 32 through the confronting surfaces of 1:2 in area. In this manner, normal radial force can be supported by the frictional force between the plates 24 and 28, and the excessive stress due to thermal expansion can be effectively beared by the member 38.
