Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a bearing for a heated roll more compact for a small-scale calendar roll.
CONSTITUTION: In a bearing especially for a calendar roll for a heated roll having a variable diametrical running gap between the fixed bearing surface and the rotating bearing surface, the rotating bearing surface is formed by a bearing ring 4, and the part of the fixed bearing surface is formed by a first hydrostatic bearing segment 10 fixed at least in one radial direction, and the segment is provided with at least one bearing pocket 11 for permitting oil to flow into the bearing gap 9 in the range of the circumferential surface of composite bearing load. In the range of circumferential surface on the opposite side, another part of the fixed bearing surface is formed by at least one second hydrostatic bearing segment 12, and the segment is provided with a bearing shoe 14 adjustable in the radial direction, and the shoe is provided with a bearing pocket 13 through which oil flows to the side of the bearing gap 9.
