PURPOSE: To increase the fluidity and make contact with a member to be alid uniform by forming minute and sharp recessed and projected parts on the surface of mother material on the slide side with the member to be slid, and applying plating which is softer than the mother material on it.
CONSTITUTION: A bearing metal 1 is constituted, with an aluminum metal 2 as a mother material, by forming minute and sharp recessed and projected parts 3 on the surface of aluminum metal 2 on a surface 11 on the slide side with a crank shaft B, applying tin-substituted plating on it, and applying a thin coat of tin plated layer 4 which is softer then aluminum metal 2. The slide face 11 is liable to deform. When the fluidity is increased and the crank shaft B rotates and comes into contact with the slide face 11, the slide face 11 fits into the crank shaft B. As a result, contact with the crank shaft B becomes uniform, and contact with one face only is prevented.
