Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the steering stability of vehicle and at the same time to reduce a load which is applied to each control device for adjusting the behavior of the vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: A target yaw rate γtθ by the steering of a rear wheel is computed (S120) on the basis of the steering angle θf of a front wheel and average car velocity, and a target yaw rate γtB by a braking system is computed (S130) on the basis of the γtθ. Since the target yaw rate γtθ of the former is found by a function of V and θf similar to the target yaw rate of the whole of a vehicle, it has a fixed amplitude according to the target yaw rate of the whole of a vehicle. On the other hand, since the target yaw rate γtB of the latter is found. Similarly, it has a fixed amplitude according to the target yaw rate of the whole of a vehicle. After that, the steering angle θr of rear wheels 10RL, 10RR is controlled (S190) on the basis of the γtθ and brake control is performed on the basis of the γtB.
