To extract content and period of fluctuating behaviors configured of a plurality of motions from sensing data obtained by measuring the movement or state of a monitoring object by a sensor.
The behavior extraction system is provided with a sensor mounted on a monitoring object or arranged in the periphery of the monitoring object for measuring the movement or state of the monitoring object, and a computer for analyzing sensing data measured by the sensor. The behavior extraction method for extracting a behavior of the monitoring object on the basis of the sensing data includes: causing the computer to store the sensing data; creating regions in which the stored sensing data are divided by the duration of prescribed operations; creating fragments obtained by dividing each region by the changing point of the value of the sensing data; and extracting the content and period of the behavior of the monitoring object by using a rule configured of the combination of the regions and the fragments and a sequential pattern.
