PURPOSE: To provide a belt conveyor means which includes a conveyor unit for easy replacement of a rotary conveyor belt.

CONSTITUTION: One surface of a conveyor unit is pivotably supported in a machine frame 1 and pivoted around a shaft fixed in the transfer direction. As a result, the conveyor unit can be displaced between a generally horizontal operation position and the loading position of a flat type conveyor belt 10 which is a position spaced by a specific pivot angle from the operation position. The conveyor unit can be removed or loaded laterally in the loading position. The belt conveyor means of this type can be used particularly in the cake industry and in relation to a series of arrangements of a plurality of narrowly separated belt conveyor means.
