Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band saw blade in which the life of a barrel member is prolonged.SOLUTION: A band saw blade comprising plural sawtooth bases 5A, 5B having cutting blade parts 7A, 7B at tips thereof on a strip member 3 at suitable intervals. A contact surface 17F, which guides chips 19 generated by the cutting blade parts 7A, 7B in a tooth bottom land 13 of a garret part 11 formed between respective sawtooth bases 5A, 5B, is so formed as to be a smooth surface which is not inclined in a thickness direction of the strip member 3, and a width of the smooth surface is 1/2 or more than a width dimension of the chip 19. A chamfering amount B of chamfering parts 15A, 15B on both side edges of the tooth bottom land 13 in the garret part 11 formed between respective sawtooth bases 5A, 5B is 0.30 mm to 0.35 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
