Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wear in a crossing contact part between alamido filaments by forming a tensile body by a braid and using alamido filaments having particular denier for yarns constituting the braid in an alamido belt tensile body used for various power transmission belts.
SOLUTION: A belt tensile body 11 is formed by a round braid made by using four yarns 12, and each yarn 12 is composed of an alamido filament bundle of 3.0 to 5.0 denier. In this case, before the round braid is used to form a tensile body for a transmission belt, first the round braid is dipped in a liquid adhesive agent containing an isocyanate compound as a main component and a sub-coated layer is formed on the surface thereof and then it is also dipped in a liquid adhesive agent containing resorcin-formalin latex as a main component for forming a second coated layer on the sub-coated layer. Then, the round braid is dipped in rubber paste to form a top coated layer on the second coated layer and thereby the bending resistance and fatigue strength of the power transmission belt are increased.
