Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method to detect the tension of a belt timely and simply and its device in a belt conveyer having a screw take-up system belt tension adjusting means.
CONSTITUTION: The screw lever 14 of a belt tension adjusting means 10 is rotated to slightly move a bearing box 19 in the direction of belt tension, and a spacer 22 and a load cell 23 are insertedly provided between the bearing box 19 and the one side end of a frame 18. Next the screw lever 14 is loosen until the tensile force caused by the screw lever 14 of the bearing box 19 is zero to apply the belt tension to the load cell 23, and load acting then on the load cell 23 is measured. Thus the tension of the belt 4 can be detected simply at any time.
