To provide a bench which can maintain the surfaces of seat faces and backrests coming into contact with clothing when a user sits on the bench in a clean state.

The surfaces of the seat faces 2 and backrests 3 configurating the bench 1 are covered with films 6 of titanium dioxide or the like functioning as a photocatalyst, as a result of which NOx and organic matter are decomposed by the UV rays included in the sunlight. Since the hydrophilicity of the films 6 makes it possible to easily flush away the deposits on the surfaces, the clean state can be maintained even if management is not performed.
