Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending apparatus and a bending method capable of performing efficiently bending of a steel sheet.SOLUTION: In a bending method in which a steel sheet 2 supported by a support mechanism 3 is heated by a heating mechanism 4, and then, the heated steel sheet 2 is cooled by cooling water jetted out from a nozzle 12 of a cooling water supply mechanism 5, to thereby bend the steel sheet 2, the steel sheet 2 is gripped by a holding part 7 (an upper end holding part 7a, a lower end holding part 7b) of the support mechanism 3, and the steel sheet 2 is suspended by the support mechanism 3 in the state where a surface direction of the steel sheet 2 agrees with a vertical direction z.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
