PURPOSE: To provide a sturdy bending assembly consisting of a small number of components which is easily manufactured, easily operated and practically used for bending a bundle of bars to any kind of forms.

CONSTITUTION: This is a bending assembly 10 of a bending machine 13, which can be employed to make, either at upstream or downstream, clockwise or counterclockwise, bends of up to 180° and more, on a bundle of bars 14 which is stacked on each other on a plane substantially perpendicular to a working surface 15. The bending assembly 10 comprises a supporting plate 16 having two supporting pins 17 and a rotary bending plate 11 which is concentric with the supporting plate 16 and located its outside, having a bending pin 12. The supporting pins 17 and the bending pin 12 have their axes substantially at right angles to the working surface 15. The supporting plate 16 is rotated around its own vertical axis and two pins 17 are located at diametrically opposed positions each other whose space is at least equal to or bigger than the diameter of bars forming the bundle 14 of bars.
