PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending device by linear heating capable of heating or cooling from both sides of a metallic plate.
SOLUTION: This bending device is provided with a metallic plate supporting tool 10 with which, when the horizontal direction is defined as the X-axis, the vertical direction as Y-axis and the direction perpendicular to the X-axis and Y-axis as Z-axis, the metallic plate 1 of the object of working is rotatably supported at least at three points of the circumference on an approximately X-Y plane, fixed at one point among these points and, at the other points, slidably supported to the expansion and contraction in the X-axis or Y-axis direction, moving devices 13 which are respectively provided on both sides of the metallic plate 1 which is movable in the X-axis and Y-axis directions along the metallic plate 1 which is supported with this metallic plate supporting tool 10, heat treating heads 4, 5 for heat treating the metallic plate 1, spring cylinders 21, which are provided on the moving device 13, for pressurizing the heat treating heads 4, 5 which are attached at the tip by following the displacement in the Z-axis direction of the metallic plate 1 and a controller for controlling the moving device 13 so as to make the heat treating heads 4, 5 which are respectively on both sides of the metallic plate 1 are made in approximately the same position and move along the heating lines which are preset on the metallic plate.
