Abstract:
PURPOSE:To rapidly transmit high motive power to a distant place which is conventionally hard to transmit such high motive power to, by providing a device which comprises a rotary shaft, bearings, balls and links and has an integrated flexible mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A device, which comprises main members such as a rotary shaft 1 made of a wire rope or the like, inner link balls 3 including ball bearings 2, outer link balls 4 which slide on the inner link balls, stoppers 5 for halting the sliding of the outer link balls and an expanssible flexible coating 6 which slides on the outside surfaces of the outer link balls, is provided with an integrated flexible mechanism. A motive power input is applied to the joint 8 of the shaft 1. When the device is sharply bent in an optional direction during the rapid rotation of the shaft 1, the bearings 2 come into contact with the shaft at the bent part of the device. At that time, the outer link balls 4 slide to the stoppers 5 and simultaneously turn.
