Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the new compounds useful for the prophylaxis and treatment of hypertension, heart failure, dementia or the like.
CONSTITUTION: These are the compounds of formula I [R1 is H, halogen, 1-6 alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl,-CHO, -CO2H or the like; Ar is formula II (R3 is -CO2H, -NHSO2CF3 or the like; R4 and R5 are each H, halogen or 1-6C alkyl); R6 is H, 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl, 1-6C alkylthio or the like; R7 is H, 1-6C alkyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl or the like; R8 is H, hydroxy, 2-6C alkenyl or the like], e.g. 3-bromo-2-[2-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)phenyl]-5-benzofuranyl]methyl-3-butyl-1-ethyl-1H- pyrazol-5-carboxylic acid. These are obtained by reacting the compounds of formula III with the compounds of formula IV.
