Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R1 is F, Cl, methyl or methoxy; R2 is H when R1 is F or methyl and R2 is H or halogen when R1 is Cl or methoxy).
EXAMPLE: N-2-chloro-6-fluorobenzoyl-N'-2,5-difluoro-4-chloropheny-l-urea.
USE: An insecticide exhibiting excellent effect against larvae of lepidopteron such as diamondback moth, rice stem borer, cabbage armyworm, etc., dipteron such as common gnat, housefly, etc., coleopteron, etc., and having low toxicity to mammal and fish.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a benzoyl isocyanate compound of formula II with an aniline compound of formula III in a solvent such as toluene at 0W80°C for 1W50hr under normal pressure.
