Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A benzyl-trilower alkylammonium dichloroiodide expressed by formula I (R1WR3 are the same or different lower alkyl group).
EXAMPLE: Benzyltrimethylammonium dichloroiodide.
USE: Useful as an iodinating agent capable of readily synthesizing iodinated derivatives of phenol and aniline and derivatives thereof useful as a raw material for producing various medicines, herbicides, germicides, etc.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula II is treated with iodine chloride to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
