Abstract:
PURPOSE: To embody high efficiency/high speed transportation by a simple structure biaxial truck for coupling to a trailer which ensures the degree of freedom of movement and suppresses the generation of an unbalanced load without sacrificing the dimension of the loading part of a trailer to be coupled, in bimodal transportation.
CONSTITUTION: A first support frame 11 is securely supported in a cantilever- form manner to a load support part 15 arranged at a central part between axles 3 and 3 and a second support frame 13 is rockably coupled and supported through a spherical bearing by means of a spherical bearing 21 in a state to be capable of freely rolling, yawing, and pitching. The support frame 11 and 13 are formed in a shape that the central part thereof is bent, and trails TR1 and TR2 are intercoupled in a state to support only a horizontal load by means of couplings 23 and 31 and towing bars 25 and 33. As a result, a vertical load from the trailers TR1 and TR2 coupled in a placed state to the support frames 11 and 13, respectively, are constantly equally distributed to the front and rear axles 3 and 3 and the degree of freedom of movement of the two trails can be also ensured.
