Abstract:
To provide a biaxially oriented polypropylene film for capacitors, having high voltage resistance at high temperature and excellent in stretchability and element processability.SOLUTION: In a biaxially oriented polypropylene film for capacitors, at least two or more melting peaks are observed when differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is performed on the condition of a heating rate of 30°C/min; the ratio of the total amount of heat of fusion formed by sub-peaks on the side of a temperature lower than that of the main peak of the melting peak to the total amount (100%) of the heat of fusion is in a range of 60% or more and 70% or less; and the ratio of the amount of heat of fusion of 150°C or less to the total amount (100%) of heat of fusion is in a range of 12% or more and 20% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
