Abstract:

PURPOSE: To relax an impact from a front when a bicycle runs over the protrusion of a road surface and to prevent vertical movement of a car body on a flat road surface by arranging an eccentricity holding body to a suspension device, performing rocking movement of a front wheel by exerting a resilient force, and providing the brake surface of a brake member with a sufficient radial area.
CONSTITUTION: A suspension device 100 is provided with an eccentricity holding body 10 comprising two L-shaped members 21 and a hollow axle (an eccentric axle) 22, and the L-shape member 21 comprises a shaft part (a support shaft) 23 and a plate-form arm 24. When a bicycle runs over the protrusion of a road surface, an impact from a front is exerted on a front wheel 6. In this case, the body 41a of a resilient body 41 is rocked in a manner to effect rearward round with a radius being an intershaft distance Y between the shaft part 23 and the axle 22 as it is twisted, and the impact is escaped rearward and upward. In a brake device 200, the side 62a of the rim 62 of a tire 61 has a radial area Z1 up to a brake shoe 63 even when the front wheel 6 is rocked. This constitution prevents the rocking and reliably nips the front wheel between the brake shoes 63.
