To obtain a new compound having potent insecticidal activity, therefore usable in various fields including agriculture, horticulture, livestock industry, forestry, disease control and dwelling.
This new compound is a compound of formula I [R1 and R2 are each H, a halogen, (substituted) lower alkyl, (substituted) phenyl, (thio) formyl, or the like; R3 is H, a halogen, cyano, nitro, or the like; R4 and R5 are each H, a (lower) acyl or (substituted) lower alkyl; X is O, S(O)n (n is 0-2), or the like; Q is a (substituted, saturated) heterocyclic ring], e.g. 6-[(2- chloropyridin-5-yl)methylamino]-5-(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)-2,3- dihydroimidazo[2,1-b]thiazole. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, by reaction between a compound of formula II and a compound of formula III (Z is a halogen, methanesulfonyl, or the like) as necessary in the presence of a base or catalyst in a solvent at -20 to 200°C for 0.01-50 h.
