Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new bidirectional air valve for eliminating complexity and low reliability of a bidirectional valve and also provide an ink tank in which the new bidirectional air valve is used to improve the use efficiency of the ink tank for a small sized ink jet printer.
CONSTITUTION: An air valve is provided with a supporting section 1 in which an opening 2 is provided, and an opening 4 smaller than the opening 2 at its center. Also it is provided with a thin film 3 which covers the opening 2 and a thin film 5 which is smaller than the opening 2 and covers the opening 4. Then the thin film 3 is placed on the supporting section 1 through a viscous sealant, and the thin film 5 is placed on the supporting section side 1 of the thin film 3 through an active sealant so that it is stored in the opening 2.
