Abstract:
To provide a bilayer slide member comprising a coating layer which has an extremely small difference between static friction force and kinematic friction force, and a rack pinion type steering device capable of securing smooth steering feeling.SOLUTION: A bilayer slide member 1 comprises: a back metal 2 formed of a steel plate; a coating 4 being formed of a copper plating or a nickel plating formed on one surface 3 of the back metal 2; a porous metal sinter layer 5 which is integrally jointed to the surface 3 of the back metal 2 through the coating 4; and a coating layer 8 which fills pores 6 of the porous metal sinter layer 5 and coats a surface 7 of the porous metal sinter layer 5. The coating layer 8 comprises: 100 mass parts of PA(polyamide)11 or PA12 as a main component; 1-15 mass prats of TLCP as an additive; 1-15 mass parts of phosphate; and 0.1-10 mass parts of wax. The coating layer 8 includes the PA11 or PA 12 as a matrix, and in the matrix, TLCP, phosphate and wax are dispersed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
