Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processing machine capable of easily aligning front/back and up/down of bank bills while suppressing cost increase and size increase.SOLUTION: The bill processing machine includes: storage units 45-47 for storing bank bills in the manner that they can be fed; an identification unit 35 for identifying the bank bills fed from the storage units 45-47; a front/back aligning unit 58 for aligning the front/back of the bank bills on the basis of the identification result of the identification unit 35; sorting means 55N for sorting the bank bills whose front/back is aligned by the front/back aligning unit 58 into bank bills whose up/down direction is one direction and bank bills whose up/down direction is the direction inverse to the one direction, on the basis of the identification result of the identification unit 35; and payment ports 21 and 31 through which the bank bills sorted by the sorting means 55N are paid.
