PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processor capable of preventing occurrence of a fault in bill delivery when delivering bills from a storage and delivery part and besides making an operator receive paid bills in a state in which the bills are all facing the same way, and a bill processing method.SOLUTION: A control section controls a front/back inversion part 22 to selectively invert bills so that the bills are stored in the storage and delivery part (for example, a denomination-classified loose bill storage 34) in a state in which they are alternately facing up or down when the bills deposited in a body 12 by a deposit part (for example, a money reception part 14) in money receiving processing for the bills are stored in the storage and delivery part. The control section controls the front/back inversion part 22 also, so that the front/back inversion part 22 selectively inverses the bills delivered from the storage and delivery part to a conveyance part 15 and conveyed by the conveyance part 15 to an outlet part (for example, loose bill payment part 16) so that the bills stacked in the outlet part are all facing the same way.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
