Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polymer having a binaphthyl skeleton, a polysiloxane skeleton, and an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and its production method.
SOLUTION: The polymer is represented by formula (I-1); [-A1-X1-A1'-(SiMe2- O)m-SiMe2-]n1 or formula (I-2): [-A2-X2-A2'-(SiMe2-O)m-SiMe2-]n2 [wherein X1 and X2 are 1,1'-binaphthyl-6,6'-diyl groups to be represented by formula (II-1) and formula (II-2), respectively; R1 to R3 in X1 and X2 are each an alkyl group or an aralkyl group; p is an integer of 1-3; A1, A1', A2, and A2' are each -CH=CH- (a vinylene group) or >C=CH2 (a vinylidene group); m is an integer of 1-1,000; and n1 and n2 are each an integer of 2-50,000], and the method for producing, the above polymer of formula (I-1) or formula (I-2) comprises reacting a diyne compound (a 6,6'-diethynyl-1,1'-binaphthyl derivative) with an H- terminated polysiloxane.
