To provide an apparatus capable of binding a sheet-like material laminate in a condition where a prescribed pressure is applied to the whole laminate in an approximately uniform manner.
A binding apparatus is provided with first and second grooved pressing bodies 1, 2 in which a plurality of rows of tape guide grooves are provided, a hydraulic press 3 to press a laminate on the second pressing body 2 through the first pressing body 1, a first tape guide body 7 to form a passage leading to a groove inlet of the pressing body 2 along the side surface of the laminate from a groove outlet of the pressing body 1 at a part where the pressed laminate is taped and a second tape guide body 9 to form a passage leading to a groove inlet of the pressing body 1 along the side surface of the laminate from a groove outlet of the pressing body 2 at the part, a first ejector nozzle 8 to wind a tape T by the first half circumference around the laminate by ejecting the compressed gas into the passage by the first guide body 7, a second ejector nozzle 10 to wind the tape by the second half circumference around the laminate by ejecting the compressed gas to the passage by the second guide body 9, and a means to fix starting and terminating ends to the laminate.
