Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding apparatus executing binding by pushing a second pressing part toward a first pressing part, where load on a housing (frame) is reduced and unit size of the binding apparatus is reduced when compared to a case where the present construction is not adopted.SOLUTION: A bind unit 50 to which the present invention is applied comprises: a pressing part for binding a record material bundle, which comprises a first pressing part pressing the record material bundle for binding the record material bundle and a second pressing part facing the first pressing part; a pushing part which is formed as a different member from the second pressing part and pushes the second pressing part toward the first pressing part; and a drive source driving the pushing part. The pushing part is configured to be connected with the pressing part. When the record material enters, the pressing part retrogresses to the downstream side in a record material entering direction and the drive source is not linked to the retrogressing motion of the pressing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
