Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain removal of a binding device with high reliability by arranging a releasing unit (cable etc.) for releasing engaged condition of a snowboard and a boot and operating the releasing unit manually to release engaging of the boot.
CONSTITUTION: A binding element 2 contains a base plate 3 and a front star lap 4 for grasping certainly a sole projecting part 5 of a boot 1 and supporting a front end of the snowboard boot 1. The binding element also contains a heal element 7 with an aperture 8 arranged at a heal part 6 of a rear end of the boot 1. At the aperture, one pair of spring pins 9 that can be moved forward and backward in the width direction of the boot 1 is engaged and disengaged. The heel element 7 has one pair of lateral parts 7'. Apertures 8 are arranged at respective lateral side parts 7'. There is arranged a cable 12 in order to remove the pins 9. The cable passes through the rear side of the snowboard boot 1 and it is present in an upper part along a leg part. The pins 9 are inserted and removed by manual pulling operation of the cable.
