To provide a binding machine for horticulture capable of positioning and holding an object to be bound which is taken in a space between a binding machine body and a clincher arm at a reliably re-slacking position.
A binding tape T in a tape reel storing part 4 provided in the binding machine body 1 is delivered, and stretched between a fore end of the binding machine body 1 and a fore end of the clincher arm opened with respect to the binding machine body 1. The object P to be bound is taken in the space S between the binding machine body 1 and the clincher arm from the outer side of the stretched binding tape T. A guide mechanism A is provided, which projects a guide part 25 of a guide member 21 into the space S when the clincher arm is closed and actuated and the binding tape T is wound around the object P, and is engaged with the object P for positioning.
