PURPOSE: To prevent a group of small bundles on an elevating table from falling down when the direction of the group of small bundles is turned in a process to bundle the group of small bundles consisting of a currency.

CONSTITUTION: On an elevating table 15 on which a group M of small bundles is loaded, an auxiliary plate 21 which is movable between an internal position being fitted in a table main body 20 and a protruding position being projected from the table main body 20, and a spring member 22 which energizes the auxiliary plate 21 in the projecting direction shown by arrow (a) are provided, and the area of the upper surface of the elevating table 15 is increased by the auxiliary plate 21. By this method, when the group M of small bundles being loaded on the elevating table 15 consists of a currency, and the thickness at the central part of the longitudinal part is larger, that part of the group M of small bundles with the larger thickness is supported by the auxiliary plate 21.
