PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of enhancing an image of a biological sample grown in a medium in a container.SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: acquiring one or more images of a container using one or more illumination sources, each of which can illuminate the container from different directions; applying a subject detection transformation method to identify the edge of the container; and determining an image inside the container.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
