To provide a bio-implant having a mechanical characteristic close to a bone or a tooth, and a function of bonding to the bone from the bio-implant after embedding the bio-implant into a human body, and to provide its manufacturing method for easily manufacturing the bio-implant having the above feature.
The bio-implant includes: a base material having a porous layer on the front surface; and a plurality of crystal aggregations which are distributed in a part of or the whole front surface of the base material and obtained by aggregating the crystal of a bioactive substance. The bio-implant manufacturing method includes: a process 1 for manufacturing the base material having the porous layer on the front surface; and a process 2 for hydrothermally processing the base material obtained in the process 1 in a water solution containing at least calcium ion of 3.75 mM and at least phosphoric acid ion of 1.5 mM.
