Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable polymer resin which is used in order to form plastic parts of a vehicle and to provide a vehicle constituent member made of the resin.
SOLUTION: The vehicle constituent member, comprising the biodegradable material, is characterized in that the biodegradable material contains a polyhydroxyalkanoate resin. The preferred embodiment of the present invention shows a vehicle-occupant protecting device. This vehicle-occupant protecting device comprises a reactive canister and an expansion-type, vehicle-occupant protecting device. The expansion-type, vehicle-occupant protecting device is contained in the reactive canister. At least one of both the reactive canister and the vehicle-occupant protecting device is biodegradable and comprises the polyhydroxyalkanoate resin.
