To provide a biological state detecting device which can be in contact with a portion of a human body of a subject at moderate pressure without a detector to detect the biological state disturbing the subject nor spoiling the appearance of the device when not measuring a biological state.
The biological state detector 20 detects a biological signal that shows the biological state of a detection object in contact with an object detection sensor 30 provided on a surface of a casing 12. Here, when the detection object is out of contact with the object detection sensor 30, the biological state detector 20 is accommodated in a guide unit 19 of the casing 12. On the other hand, when the detection object is in contact with the object detection sensor 30, the biological state detector 20 is moved by a moving unit 50 so that a front end 25 thereof may project from an opening 13 where an opening of the guide unit 19 is formed.
